General Notes
Filament
Periodically check your mfg website for the correct temp settings that may have changed since settings were first released into the slicer software defaults. Overture Matte PLA was set to 240C when the website says 230C.
Some websites also have filament profiles you can just download as .json and install.
Flow Dynamics Calibration
IMPORTANT: Automatic flow dynamic calibration DOES NOT WORK for the 0.2mm nozzle. (Source: documentation at https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/calibration_pa). Do it manually.
Overture Matte PLA - Auto Calibration gave me 0.18, manual calibration showed terrible underextrusion at 0.18 and a real value around 0.05-0.07. Possibly explains why my supports have holes.
Cold Pulls
Cold pulls should be regularly done.
H2C now has a cold pull guide built into the software, with useful info from documentation: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/h2c/maintenance/nozzle-cold-pull-maintenance-and-cleaning
It does 2 things: an ordinary filament purge (extrude to displace old filament), and a cold pull.
Documentation says cold pull should be done 20-30C above the glass transition temp of your filament.
It recommends 250C for PLA/PETG, whereas previous guides recommend 220C. I think this is because the H2C does a filament purge first and needs it to be at 250C temp, so for other printers just doing a cold pull, 220C is probably fine.
COLD PULL TEMPERATURE SELECTION
Cold pulling works by precisely controlling the nozzle temperature (recommended to be set 20-30°C above the filament's glass transition temperature) and using the material's viscoelasticity to physically strip contaminants from the nozzle wall. H2D has pre-configured parameter tables for you, but you can adjust them flexibly based on cold pull effectiveness and success rate. The suggested adjustment increment is 5°C. Specific adjustment directions are as follows:
If you encounter significant resistance and the filament breaks easily during cold pulling, it is recommended to increase the cold pull temperature.
If the filament breaks with minimal resistance during cold pulling, it is recommended to lower the cold pull temperature.

Common Print Quality Issues
Chatter
Chatter is caused by an improperly tuned pressure advance/flow dynamics calibration value.
Solution - calibrate your pressure advance.

Visual Fine Artifacts
VFA are microscopic imperfections in the extrusion that repeat at the same point in each layer, creating vertical lines on the model. These lines are tiny, visible from 10um, and the worst you have seen are around 40um from peak to valley. These are most likely caused by complex vibrations resonance mechanics.

Prusa's recommendation for their Core ONE printers is to correctly tension the belts to a specific frequency, found by strumming the belt like a guitar and measured by the printer.
https://help.prusa3d.com/article/adjusting-belt-tension-core-one-l-core-one_845048
This makes sense from a vibrations engineering perspective - the belts are part of the structure, and their stiffness, k, is not fixed if the belts are not tensioned correctly.
Natural Frequency = sqrt (k / m) , with k = stiffness and m = mass
Ghosting/Ringing
Ghosting shows up as repeated "ghosts" of previous print features.
